CCTV and surveillance
CCTV designed around what the image must show.
A camera earns its place only if its image answers the question asked of it. We design surveillance systems around defined operational requirements and the retention and data protection duties that come with recording.
- Commercial buildings and campuses
- Healthcare estates
- Industrial sites and perimeters
- Car parks and external areas
- Public-facing reception and retail spaces

Our scope
What we do on these systems.
- 01Establish an operational requirement for each camera (what it must show, at what level of detail, under what lighting) before positions are chosen
- 02Survey fields of view, lighting conditions, mounting positions and cable routes on site rather than placing cameras from a drawing
- 03Design the recording and video management architecture, with storage sized from actual retention, resolution and frame-rate calculations
- 04Specify the network and power infrastructure so video traffic is segregated and does not degrade other systems
- 05Design the data protection controls (retention, privacy zones, access rights and export procedures) with the organisation's information governance
- 06Commission the system and verify image quality against the original requirement, camera by camera
Platform
What the system does.
- Camera coverage designed to defined image criteria for detection, recognition or identification
- Retention periods set to policy, with storage sized to hold them
- Recording that continues at the edge if the connection to central storage is lost
- Role-based access to live and recorded video, with an audit trail of viewing and export
- Privacy zones and masking built into the design rather than added after complaint
- Video traffic segregated from corporate networks
- Alarm-triggered camera call-up from access control and intruder detection
- Health monitoring that reports camera and recorder failures rather than leaving gaps to be found later
