- 01Survey every controlled opening (door construction, frame, escape requirements and existing hardware) before any equipment is specified
- 02Design the system architecture: controllers, readers, credential technology, power supplies and network connectivity
- 03Specify locking hardware that satisfies both the security intent and the fire and escape requirements of each door type
- 04Design the interfaces to CCTV, intruder detection, fire alarm and visitor management, with responsibility for each boundary named
- 05Commission every door end to end, including its behaviour on power loss and fire alarm activation
- 06Hand over as-built documentation, credential administration procedures and operator training
